G4S is looking for a Program Manager for the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) of our customer, providing emergency assistance to people hit by a disaster (man-made or natural). The assistance can be humanitarian aid or civil protection. The emergencies around the world are monitored and the actions are coordinated in this Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC).

The Program Manager will provide rapid situational awareness and analysis, including by using early-warning tools and scientific data on natural disasters, assessing satellite images and maps as well as by providing situational maps to prepare for and facilitate the emergency operations through the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC).

  • Conduct information assessment and analysis, and contribute to emergency response planning in support of the ERCC.
  • Support the development of the link between operations and science (also via Scientific partnerships) with a view to support the ERCC.
  • Advise on development and maintenance of the Early Warning Systems used by the ERCC.
  • Link for technical matters with the JRC and the scientific group established in Ispra (Italy).
  • Advising on GIS development related project management, including proposals for project strategies, planning, risk management.

Ce que nous recherchons

  • University degree in Engineering, Social or Political Sciences, Economics or Geography or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant job experience after University graduation.
  • Concrete experience in analysing emergencies and drafting response plans.
  • Good knowledge on Early Warning System at European level.
  • Good experience in management of ICT project.
  • Experience in civil protection and humanitarian aid is an asset.
  • Field work experience is an asset. Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
  • Team player with appropriate social and communication skills.
  • High flexibility and resilience.
  • Excellent English and French language skills (at least level C1) knowledge of other languages is considered as a asset.
  • Knowledge of MS-Office.
